Aku no hana is a masterpiece in a medium that has difficulty recognizing artistic perfection unless that greatness exists along pre established lines. But while aku no hana seems really concrete serial experiments lain is way more metaphysical like an other approach of human s mind.
His classmate nakamura sees this and uses it to blackmail kasuga threatening to out him as a pervert. Aku no hana is possibly more messed up and a lot darker and simply put a shitshow while hsl is more of a composed merry go round of glitter and violence. You may have already heard of the show as the one with rotoscoped animation the show that anime fans by and large decried for being ugly boring and too different too unlike anime.
Both are niche anime but i d recommend aku no hana to fans of the genre only cuse it aint for everybody. Aku no hana is the tale of a boy named kasuga who idealized a girl named saeki and one day he steals her gym clothes.
